The Oregon State University forestry extension program has gotten a boost from the Linn County Small Woodlands Association.

The LCSWA board agreed at its June meeting to donate $1,000 to the OSU Master Woodlands Manager program because of expected budget shortfalls in the MWM program.
The MWM program has been popular with LCSWA members.
Tiffany Hopkins, MWM program coordinator, recently sent a letter of thanks to the woodlands group.

“It will support a program that is the foundation for building a strong and supportive family woodland owner community,” said Hopkins in a letter.

The MWM program trains woodland owners and managers in technical forest topics. It also provides a venue for networking and collaboration, as well as leadership training.
