Neal Bell was part of first MWM class; son Damon follows in footsteps

Neal and Valerie Bell are being honored as Linn County’s Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year. The Bell’s 110-acre tree farm is a ridgetop property in the Scio/Stayton area. They have owned the tree farm for 56 years and manage it primarily for income.

Neal has a long history as an innovative family forest land owner. He was in the initial Master Woodland Manager (MWM) class.

His son Damon just graduated from the most recent MWM class for Linn County land owners. He is co-owner of a tree farm adjacent to Neal and Valerie’s tree farm.

We're planning a tour of the Bell property in August and we'll list it on our Events page when we have the details.
