LCSWA Tree Farmer of the Year Tour
About the Event
The annual Tree Farmer of the Year tour showcases the work put in by owners toward meeting objectives in tree farm management plans. The day includes a tour of the site on trails and discussions on management options and other woodland issues.
The Mauter property includes a pollinator garden and a mixed-age, mixed species forest on 14 acres. The property was planted in Valley pine and Douglas-fir in 1998 and replanted in 2001. The pines have thrived on rocky, steep soil.
All members as well as the general public are welcome.
Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged. Bring a walking stick for the tour. Lunches and drinks are provided.
