The revised Linn County Small Woodlands Association website is celebrating its first anniversary. The site is staffed by volunteers and 4-H leadership students and provides woodland and Linn County forestry information to members and the public at www.linncountyswa.com.

Since its launch in July 2021, 53 news posts have been edited and designed into packages by the 4-Hers. That’s more than one new post every week.

The site includes an events calendar with Google map information, a daily lumber price quote that feeds into CBS Marketplace news as well as minutes of past board meetings and links to other forestry websites.

Linn County 4-Hers and parents were instructed in WordPress web design by local business woman and volunteer Nancy Hildebrandt. The owner of Simple Storefronts, Hildebrandt is the webmaster for the site.

Various members of the LCSWA have provided articles and photos for the site — and 4-Hers have also been involved in writing stories and filming videos for the site.
