29th annual LCSWA fundraiser features native trees and shrubs; plant pickup date is Feb. 3, 2024

The 29th annual Linn County Small Woodlands Association seedling sale is set for Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, from 8 am to noon (order pickup times from 8–11 am) at the Linn County Fair and Expo center in Albany.

Our online seedling store is now open and will stay open until Jan. 15, 2024. Watch this website for the latest news about the seedling sale. You can get to the online store by clicking the Seedling Sale Shop link in the menu at the top of any page on our site.

The online store ordering process is straightforward. Once you enter the online shop, click the category of seedlings you are looking for (conifers, deciduous trees, shrubs, flowers, native plants). You will get pictures and descriptions of all the plants offered in each category.

Each individual plant page shows the stock availability. Note that Western Serviceberry and Dwarf Checkerbloom have purchase limits as we have limited stock available. Simply choose how many you want to order and click Add to Cart. As you add your items you'll see a summary of your cart items so far in a sidebar. Click View Cart to open the Cart page, where you can make final edits to your order.

When you check out, you need to enter your name, address, phone number, and email for contact information. Establishing an account at this time will allow you to go back later, log in to your account, review (but not change) all of your orders, and download a PDF of the invoice for any order. The information you provide will only be used by LCSWA. It will not be shared.

Our online shop accepts major credit and debit cards in a secure transaction managed by Square, our online payment provider. No information is stored by LCSWA and we only have access to the last four digits of your credit card number, so your payment information is very secure.

When the checkout process is complete, you will receive an itemized receipt from LCSWA.  If you don't see this email, check your junk folder.

Sometimes nurseries have unexpected problems with their plants and are not able to provide all or part of what was ordered. They may occasionally be able to substitute a different size. If a nursery cancels an order prior to the day of the sale, we'll issue refunds back to your credit card and you'll get an email notification with the item, the quantity, and the refund amount.

We have a few new seedling offerings this year: Western Redbud, Indian Plum, Showy Milkweed, Blue Elderberry. Of course we also have our regular offerings of conifers and other native trees and shrubs. Order early as some quantities are limited.

All pre-order seedlings must be picked up at the fairgrounds between 8 and 11 am on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024. There will be various tree and shrub seedlings available for purchase the day of the event. Feel free to invite your neighbors and friends to join you!

The seedling sale is a fundraiser for LCSWA to offer college scholarships to Linn County students with forestry and conservation majors. It also provides annual funding for 4-H scholarships. These local 4-H students, their parents, and LCSWA members provide a volunteer workforce to make the sale a success. If you have questions before the sale, please contact Lena Tucker at seedlingsale@linncountyswa.com.
