About the Event
The Weyerhaeuser – Santiam Sawmill between Lebanon and Sweet Home is a major log buyer in our area. See what happens with your logs at the mill.
The Santiam Mill, built in 2008, covers 120 acres and employs 160 people. It is the top quartile mill for Weyerhaeuser, with annual production volume about 400 million board feet. The mill handles Douglas-fir logs between 16 and 48 feet. Log-diameter preference is between 5 and 22 inches. Products from the mill include 2×4 and 2×6 boards in 8-, 9-, 10-, and 12-foot lengths. Finished goods are shipped via rail, truck and van.
The mill is active in the Linn County community, contributing about $43,000 annually to local organizations.
